The Domus Caracalla Guesthouse in Central Rome is strategically positioned in a quiet neighbourhood which allows guests to relax in peace after the hustle and bustle of their sightseeing, but is nevertheless within walking distance of some of the major tourist attractions.

Situated at Via Di Sant'Erasmo 11, Rione Monti, 00184 Rome, the Domus Caracalla is just 900 yeards from the ancient ruins of the Baths of Caracalla (Terme di Caracalla) which hosts cultural and music events such as the Opera in the Summer. This area is also next to Villa Celimontana which also enjoys a music festival in the Summer but of the jazz variety. This is a huge Roman park with lush greenery, charming paths and adorned with Roman statuary and features. Domus Caracalla is therefore in the perfect place to offer peace and tranquillity to weary travellers.

That said, we are also fortunate enough to be within walking distance of many of the main tourist attractions. The Papal Arch-Basilica of San Giovanni (St John Lateran) and the Holy Steps are around a 10/15 minute walk away, as is the awe inspiring Ancient Coliseum & Palatine Hill.

Another monument of Ancient Rome is the large arena of Circus Maximus which is also the site of a metro underground station to take you to all of the other major attractions or even off towards the beach via Piramide station a little further on.
